I have consistently dyed my hair bright colors since I was 11, and it is a significant part of how I present myself. I also wanted to use the plastic gloves to practice a folds and texture on a dark surface. In totality, I used a bottle of hair dye, the box that dye came in, my hairspray, and a pair of gloves. I believe that my illustration of the two bottles was recognizable, but the gloves were harder to get across. If I had used clear or white gloves, I think it would have been more obvious.
In my drawing, the gloves provide a more organic shape to contrast the other vertical shapes present. I was able to create depth in the gloves, but the Arctic Fox bottle was less successful- underneath the logo, it turns more into a flat shape. |
